Glycine Chicken & Wild Rice Soup

Chicken provides glycine for healthy aging. Wild rice delivers minerals like zinc. Carrots add beta-carotene. Thyme contains antioxidant phenols. Simmered into a nourishing and comforting soup.

Ingredientes

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb chicken breast, chopped
  • 1/2 cup wild rice
  • 3 carrots, chopped
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook 2 minutes.
  2. Add chicken and cook 5 minutes until browned. Stir in rice, carrots, broth, thyme and bay leaves.
  3. Simmer 30 minutes until rice is tender. Discard bay leaves. Season with salt and pepper.
